World Traveler
International desserts and coffee! If you’re looking for a unique assortment of coffee and goodies you’ve come to the right place. I highly recommend the lavender honey latte! I’ve never been able to find one better than this place. They have many flavors you won’t find anywhere else, including vanilla-strawberry, YUM! Not only do they have delicious coffees, the eclairs are also top notch. If you’re ever in town, World Traveler is a must with locations in El Dorado Hills, Folsom and Roseville.
Tea Xotics
Tea Xotics is a family owned boutique-style tea and coffee shop located in El Dorado Hills Town Center. The peaceful atmosphere and kind staff make it a great place to enjoy the mornings when you’re still waking up. Their matcha is one of the most popular items, and goes well with many other flavors including pineapple! Their fresh locally roasted coffees are amazing and just as comforting, with many flavors and alternative milks. If you prefer a cup of tea instead of a cup of joe, this is the place for you. Their loose leaf tea collections is one of the best I’ve seen with over 200 delicious options to choose from. As a bonus they have a cute shop with bath products, the best balsamics, and many fine tea sets. Just a fun fact - their Taj Chai tea was featured as one of Joanna Gaines’ Favorites in the Fall 2019 edition of Magnolia Journal!
Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters
Chocolate Fish is a weird name for a coffee shop until you understand that the owners Andy & Edie Baker moved from NZ where a Chocolate Fish is a fish shaped confection given out as a “Thank You” for a good deed. Chocolate Fish take their coffee game to another level. Chocolate Fish is a great place to grab a bite with friends, with indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommended their avocado toast as it pairs perfectly with the morning or lunchtime coffee. Consistency with their service and product makes Chocolate Fish a well loved coffee shop in the Folsom. They also have two other locations in Sacramento.
Coffee Republic
Coffee Republic is more than just a coffee shop in Folsom. They offer breakfast, lunch, live music and many delicious drinks. It’s unique vibe offers an environment where you can just hangout, study or use it as an office away from the office. Coffee Republic believes in being active in the Folsom community by working with local schools and charities. Their drink sizes make their coffee and assortments of teas worth every penny. Founded in 1991 on the belief that everyone should have access to great coffee, delicious sandwiches, salads & fresh baked pastries. My favorite is their giant coffee milkshakes with multiple espresso shots!
Bella Bru Cafe
The perfect place for a lunch date. Not only do they serve great coffee and teas, this beautiful cafe offers indoor and relaxing outdoor seating serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. The portions are large enough to split with a friend for a quick bite or fill you up and keep you talking. Bella Bru has 3 locations located in El Dorado Hills, Carmichael and Natomas.
Peet’s Coffee
Peet’s is a classic! You can never go wrong with coffee or tea. I highly recommend the maple walnut scone paired with your favorite coffee! They have multiple locations around Folsom Lake. My personal favorite is the El Dorado Hills location near Town Center. They always have plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air and a cup of joe.
Big Wave Coffeehouse
Famous for their white mochas, if you’re a fan of Ghirardelli then you will love it too! Big Wave Coffeehouse in Folsom is under new ownership and hitting it out of the park! The owners and staff are very friendly and make for a nice visit. If you’re looking to stay a while and enjoy your coffee over some breakfast then this is the place! Breakfast and fresh baked pastries served with a smile.
Starbucks
Everyone knows what Starbucks is. I am pretty sure there are a dozen of them just in El Dorado Hills and Folsom. Have you tried ordering your latte with ristretto shots? Ristretto shots taste sweeter and less acidic than espresso shots. A ristretto shot is shorter, so it releases less acidity. Ristretto shots are my new way to enjoy Starbucks. You should give it a try too!
